The Challenge
Every now and then a project comes along that simply allows you to be creative and envision a client’s new improved space. This was a charming, older home in Bryn Mawr with a combination of beautiful stonework and stucco. The existing deck off the back of the house was confining and deteriorating and our client’s objective was to create an attractive patio that would draw them to their beautiful yard and create an appealing space for family and friends. Another sub goal was to have this new space completed in time for hosting a lovely summer shower for a friend’s daughter.

Project Planning
Whitehouse Landscaping worked with them to create an outdoor space that reflects the architecture and charm of their home. Through the use of our advanced 3D design software, we were able to show our clients just how this new patio would look so they could envision their new space
Walls were incorporated into the step design to create an area for the trash cans that would be hidden from view while using the patio. Landscaping was added to help create a natural feel to the space. The design created two intimate spaces within the patio…. one for a sitting area and the other for outdoor dining.
Re-design and installation completed…and client has a new ‘outdoor room’ for relaxing and entertaining.
Result
A beautiful paver patio large enough for entertaining but still intimate enough for a quiet outdoor dinner. The patio now connects with the landscaping and new plantings added a fresh new look to complete this makeover. Our client was thrilled with the results and this is what they had to say:
